Ashlee and Hope at Kidstown
The windmill and watertank
What a day........... It started with a trip to the lavender farm. It looked lovely, two old churches one converted into a shop, the other you can stay in. The shop was full of interesting bits and pieces. The aroma was inspiring. However it was dissapointing because there was no farm, and the few lavender bushes they had, had no flowers on. So the trip did not last long.
We then went to buy cherries at a cherry farm, with a HUGE sign that said "Cherries for Sale". However the cherrie season is over, so no cherries. Aaaaaaaaah. Then we went for option three, a trip to the "The Last Straw"..... get it the straw that broke the camels back!!!!!!!!!
"The Last Straw" is an organic coffee shop that serves authentic Thai food. The building is made out of (3 guesses) Strawbales, honesty window and all!!!!!!!! However we lucked out again the children would not have eaten the food, so we ended up having drinks and departing. I must say the Blackberry milkshake (organic) I had was delicious. yum yum!!
After a BBQ we went to Kidstown for a play. What a fantastic place for kids.... and adults. They cater for all ages!! I loved the windmill and water tank. Thank you Barbara for a wonderful few days. Lets not wait 6 years before we see each other again.
