I was born in Brighton East Sussex I went to schools in Brighton and Hove. I became a police officer in Sussex Police serving at Crawley, Horsham and Brighton. I transferred to The London Metropolitan Police serving at Harrow Road W9. I wanted a change of lifestyle so emigrated to Durban, South Africa. I lived and worked in South Africa for 10 years. Returning to the UK in 2000 and then emigrated to the Gold Coast in Australia in 2008. I was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer in 2009 whilst living in Australia, after a fairly successful major operation, I moved back to the UK. The cancer then spread to both lungs. I endured chemotherapy for six months only for the cancer to return to my lungs in September 2012. I have retired but keep as active as I can. To keep me busy I draw and pastel mainly still life and animals. I have a very supportive wife, Wendy, an adorable daughter Hope and three perfect gentlemen for sons.
